Law Clerk position at SDNY

Katharine Parker, chair of the City Bar’s Disability Law Committee and partner at Proskauer Rose, has been appointed to be a federal magistrate judge in the SDNY (pending completion of the background check).  She will be hiring two law clerks probably to start in late October or early November.  As part of her effort to attract the most diverse pool of applicants, we wanted to share this information with the affinity bar groups. 

Specifically, Ms. Parker believes that good candidates may be litigation attorneys who have been practicing at a firm for a year or two (not right out of law school) and are looking to get the experience of being a law clerk for a year.
