    Position Description:

     • Assist in driving improvements and transformation of management level and board of director level risk committee materials.
     • Assist in providing consulting to various internal clients on best governance practices, including ensuring committee material content is best in class
     • Attend review meetings with senior management to build stronger understanding of key risks throughout the organization
     • Develop training to help implement best-in-class governance standards throughout the company
     • Lead SIM workstreams related to governance committee organization and streamlining
     • Review and provide feedback key enterprise documents to ensure they align with BAC’s established governance structure and Risk Framework

     The role has the following growth / development opportunities:

    Short-Term Objectives:
     • Build strong working relationships across the Global Risk Management organization, lines of business and other control functions
     • Develop a deep understanding of the composition and structure of the BAC franchise and key priorities
     • Gain a broad knowledge of key and emerging risks across the enterprise

     Long-Term Development Opportunities:

     • Become a valuable resource for strategic projects and ad-hoc requests for the wider Global Risk Management team and senior management
     • Become a governance subject matter expert with respect to the committees of BAC, BANA and BACANA
     • Drive continuous development of the committee materials for senior management and board members

     Enterprise Role Overview:

    Manages a group (potentially global) of analysts. This group works with Senior Management, risk managers and other support groups (eg Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit) as appropriate. Ensure compliance with and updates all relevant policies, own core processes and works with Technology to develop applications to support these processes (including design, UAT, training and implementation). Monitor and report metrics related to core processes to Senior Management Forums. Coordinate Audit/Regulatory reviews and responses. Responsible for managing the production of global risk reports and analysis for Senior Management forums such as the GRC, ALMRC and deliver information to business partners and other support areas, such as Finance. Produce aggregate risk numbers, report stress test scenarios, respond to ad hoc reporting requests and works with Technology to improve data mining and reporting tools.


     • Bachelor's degree required
     • 4+ years experience working in the financial industry
     • Must have strong attention to detail
     • Must have strong analytical skills and ability to effectively challenge, or identify limitations and assumptions and produce appropriate changes
     • Very strong presentation skills: ability to present key messages, recommendations and information in a clear and insightful way and synthesize information key to relevant points
     • Very strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally and to feel comfortable delivering insights and recommendations to senior management
     • Very strong relationship building skills: ability to effectively network across the organization, build effective relationships and influence at all levels to achieve change and implement goals
     • Proficient in PowerPoint
     • Ability to work in a high energy environment and work well under pressure
     • Comfortable taking initiative and being resourceful/entrepreneurial
     • Ability to multi-task and work with numerous teams Desired Skills:
     • Experience with committee governance
     • Experience reviewing policies
     • Basic understanding of BAC's subsidiary governance structure
     • Familiarity with the Governance Guidelines for Management Committees

    The Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) seeks an experienced litigator to work in its Buffalo Regional Office. The Regional Office represents the State, its agencies and officers in a wide range of federal and state court litigation. The attorney will handle all phases of litigation from commencement through trial. Trial experience is a must and federal court experience is a plus. Familiarity with the Court of Claims and/or Mental Hygiene Law is also a plus. Superior writing, analytical and organizational skills are required.     The Latino Judges Association and President Hon. Wilma Guzman are starting an Internship Program which will provide one law student with a very unique experience.

    The intern will be under the supervision of a Judge or Justice assigned to the  New York City, New York State or Federal Court. The intern will rotate among the courts (Court of Appeals, Appellate Division, Supreme Court, Family Court, Criminal Court, Housing Court, Civil Court, Housing Court, Federal Court and/or Town Court) on a weekly to bi-weekly basis. 

    The Internship will run from June 6, 2016 until August 5, 2016 and the student will receive a $1,500 stipend.
