A. Gómez, Born in New York City to Dominican parents, Julissa A.
Gomez is currently working at the law firm Malaby & Bradley, LLP. Prior
to joining Malaby & Bradley, Ms. Gomez served as the Principal Court Attorney
to Honorable Justice Wayne P. Saitta of New York Supreme Court, Civil Term
in the County of Kings. She began her legal career as an Associate at Harris Beach, LLP located in WTC leaving after the tragedy of 9-11 of which she is a survivor. Ever active in the community, Ms. Gomez is currently serving as Treasurer of the Dominican Bar Association, Inc. an organization representing nearly 450 attorneys and law students and is a member of Manhattan Community Board 12 representing Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights and Inwood. Ms. Gomez has also served as President of the DBA, Deputy President of the Hispanic National Bar Association, NY Region and board member of the Dominican-American Chamber of Commerce. She is the recipient of many recognitions for her work, including of the Women of Achievement Pacesetter Award from the New York City Council, Citations from Congressman Charles B. Rangel, Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat, and the New York County Lawyers Association Diversity Award. Educated in schools Washington Heights, Ms. Gomez went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts from SUNY - Binghamton in 1997 and her Juris Doctorate from Fordham School of Law in 2000. She is a member of both New York and New Jersey bars. She is also a proud mother to her son, David. |
