Judge Troy Webber
is seeking a jr. court attorney to work
on criminal cases in Bronx Supreme Court.
Someone just out of law school or who
wants to work part-time. I can hire two
individuals to split the line. The salary

PUBLIC POLICY ASSOCIATE
(One Year Term)
The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights
Under Law welcomes applications for a
one year position of Public Policy Associate.
This position reports directly to the
Public Policy Counsel. If additional funding
is available this position may be extended.
Founded by President John F. Kennedy in
1963, the Lawyers' Committee is one the
nation's leading civil rights legal organizations
and has as its principal mission engaging
the private bar in pro bono matters regarding
racial, national origin, and gender discrimination.
From its inception, the Lawyers' Committee
has recognized the importance of judicial
independence in achieving our Constitution's
promise of equal justice under law. Only
a truly independent judiciary at both
the state and federal level can address
racial discrimination and ensure, through
the rule of law, equal opportunities for
minorities.
The Public Policy Associate supports the
Public Policy Counsel and will be responsible
for performing substantive research and
writing in the area of judicial diversity.
He/she will work to produce a report on
judicial diversity and will coordinate
with the Public Policy Counsel on the
substance, design, distribution and release
of the Report. The Public Policy Associate
also coordinates communications; plans
and organizes meetings, special events
and other activities; summarizes information
and written material, tracks implementation
and follow-up on matters, and coordinates
with civil rights groups.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate
interest and participation in civil rights
or public interest issues. The ideal candidate
is a recent college graduate with a degree
in Public Policy, Communications, or English.
Job related experience is preferred but
not required. Candidates must have excellent
oral and written communication skills.
